1. Summary
Sticker Pop, Little Stage, Pocket Pal and Nap Nook (each “the app”) are talking pet apps published by Cool App Helpdesk. You look after an animal character, dress it up, and speak to it so that it repeats what you said in a funny voice. This policy covers all four apps, which handle data in the same way.
- There is no account or sign-in, and we (the developer) never receive any data about you or your recordings.
- The microphone is used only while you hold the talk button. Your voice is kept in memory so the character can repeat it, and is never uploaded.
- Your voice, recordings and game progress are never sent over the internet by the apps.
- The apps include Google AdMob to show one banner ad on the Home screen. Ads are switched off until 1 September 2027; until then the ads SDK is not started and receives nothing. See section 2.
- The apps contain no analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
2. Data we collect
The developer collects nothing. We have no server and receive no personal data, voice recordings, usage data or analytics from the apps. The only third-party SDK that can collect data is Google AdMob, described below.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Each app shows one banner ad on its Home screen, served by the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). Ads are switched off until 1 September 2027: before that date the SDK is never started, requests no ads and collects nothing. From that date, AdMob may collect the following to show and measure ads:
| Data | Purpose | Collected by |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising ID | Show ads, including personalised ads where allowed | Google AdMob |
| Device and app information, ad interactions | Measure ads, prevent fraud | Google AdMob |
| IP address | Approximate location for ad delivery | Google AdMob |
This data goes to Google, not to the developer, and is handled under Google’s Privacy Policy (see also how Google uses data from apps that use its services). The ads SDK never receives your voice, your recordings or your game progress. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
3. Data stored on your device
Everything the app keeps is stored in its private storage on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data. The app opts out of Android cloud backup, so this data is not copied to your Google account either.
| Item | Where | Sent off device? |
|---|---|---|
| Your latest voice take (up to 10 seconds) | App memory only; it is gone when the app closes | Never |
| A voice clip you choose to share | A temporary file in the app’s private cache, replaced by the next clip you share | Never (unless you share it yourself) |
| Game progress: coins, level, the pet’s needs, items owned and worn | App private storage | Never |
4. Permissions used
| Permission | Reason | When asked |
|---|---|---|
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | Load ads from 1 September 2027 and know whether you are online. The apps use the network for nothing else. | Auto-granted (normal permissions) |
AD_ID | Added by the Google Mobile Ads SDK so AdMob can read the advertising ID once ads are on (section 2). | Auto-granted (normal permission) |
RECORD_AUDIO | Records your voice while you hold the talk button, so the character can repeat it. Nothing is recorded at any other time, and the app does not record in the background. | The first time you hold the talk button. If you refuse, everything else in the app keeps working. |
The Google Mobile Ads SDK also declares a few permissions that Android grants automatically and that give no access to your personal data, such as ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, WAKE_LOCK and Android’s ad-services permissions. They are inactive until 1 September 2027.
The apps request no storage, camera, location or contacts permission.
5. Network activity and third parties
Until 1 September 2027 the apps make no network connections. From that date their only network connections are the ones the Google Mobile Ads SDK makes to load ads (section 2). Apart from AdMob, the apps contain no third-party SDK that collects data. All voice effects are applied on your device. Nap Nook also includes Filament, an open-source graphics library that draws the 3D cat on your device; it does not collect data or use the network.
When you share a voice clip through the system share sheet, the app hands the clip to the app you choose; the developer does not see what you share. Privacy policy and Contact us in the More screen open your browser or email app, which then handle the link under their own policies.
6. Children’s privacy
The apps are intended for general audiences and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the developer collects no personal information from anyone. Voice recordings are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. Ads are not directed at children.
7. Data retention and deletion
The developer stores no data off your device. Data AdMob collects once ads are on is kept by Google under its own policy. Your latest voice take disappears when the app closes. To remove everything else, clear the app’s storage in Android Settings → Apps → the app → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app.
8. Security
App data is held in the app’s private storage, protected by Android’s built-in application sandboxing, and is excluded from Android cloud backup. The apps are distributed through the Google Play Store, which verifies the developer signing key on every update.
9. Changes to this policy
If any material aspect of how the apps handle data ever changes, this page will be updated and the “last updated” date above will be bumped. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
