1. Summary
Nexus Files (“the app”) is a file manager and explorer published by Cool App Helpdesk. It browses, organizes, moves, copies, and opens files on your device.
- All file management happens entirely on your device. Files are not uploaded to any server.
- The app contains no advertising, no analytics, and no crash-reporting SDKs.
- The
INTERNETpermission is declared for optional features but no user data is transmitted by the developer.
2. Data we collect
The app collects nothing. It has no accounts and no server. It does not collect names, email addresses, location, or usage statistics.

5. Network activity and third parties
Nexus Files is primarily an offline file manager. The INTERNET permission is declared for optional features such as loading remote content you open; the developer does not transmit any user data. The app contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting, and no social or attribution SDKs. All other libraries (including Coil for thumbnails and Media3 for playback) operate entirely on-device.
When you share a file via the system share sheet, the app passes a local file URI to the app you choose. The developer does not see what you share.
6. Children’s privacy
The app is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Data retention and deletion
All data remains on your device. App settings and the Hidden-folder index remain on your device until you clear the app’s storage in Android Settings → Apps → Nexus Files → Storage → Clear storage or uninstall the app. Files you manage are owned by you and can be deleted at any time.
8. Security
App data is held in the app’s private storage, protected by Android’s built-in application sandboxing. The Hidden folder uses your device’s biometric authentication when available. The app is distributed through the Google Play Store, which verifies the developer signing key on every update.
9. Changes to this policy
If any material aspect of how the app handles data ever changes, this page will be updated and the “last updated” date above will be bumped. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
